The National Logistics Company (NLC) has done something important – they successfully sent the first batch of goods to Kyrgyzstan through China using a system called Transport International Aux Rotaire (TIR). This isn't just a big deal for trade with Central Asian countries but also with Russia and Eastern Europe.
Now, because of TIR and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), trade between China and Pakistan will become more stable. This is good for Pakistan's economy. This project saves a lot of money – about $2.5 million – because they can use a thousand trucks each day. If this new route continues to work well, it will help Pakistan do more international trade and become an important hub for trade in the region and the world.
