A Saudi agency responsible for Islam's holiest sites has signed an agreement to explore dividing the Grand Mosque into coded zones. This is aimed at making it easier for worshippers to access specific areas of the vast mosque.
The General Authority for Care of the Two Holy Mosques signed the agreement with the Saudi Postal and Logistics Company. The goal is to create coded zones to help worshippers and workers navigate the Grand Mosque more efficiently.
The agreement will also assist in assessing performance, managing personnel, and ensuring high-quality services across the mosque, which is visited by millions of Muslims annually for prayers and Umrah pilgrimage.

Dividing the Grand Mosque into coded zones sounds like a practical approach to improving the experience for worshippers and workers alike. With millions of Muslims visiting annually, managing such a vast space efficiently is crucial. The use of coded zones can streamline navigation and enhance services, ultimately contributing to a smoother and more organized experience for all. It's also interesting to note how technology and innovative solutions are being integrated into the management of sacred sites, aligning with contemporary needs while upholding the sanctity of the space.

Saudi Arabia intends to improve service management and assist worshippers by implementing coded zones in the Grand Mosque.
