Facebook faces mass legal action over data leak.

I guarantee you we won't see a single penny regardless of how this goes in court.
Its mainly major phishing and scam attempts building up from data on your account like phone numbers past addresses and contacts.

I’m ready. So tired of these big tech companies being so negligent & careless with our personal information.
Well it was you who put your "personal information"
On the table for them to fetch
Why did you even bother risking ?

Yes, we thought FB would have a denial on the breach! Look what happened to the nypost when they reported that the head of BLM was buying million-dollar and having a great time with BLM monies! Then FB said they took the post down because it went against FB policies and was personal! Now you can understand fb is in bed with blm!! They just said so in that statement!!
Your exactly right

it will depend like a lot of people have PayPal's and stuff linked to their Facebook and if their financial information was released and they were damaged because of that then yes some people would get a lot more money

you got your information from where again?

Pretty sure the liability FB faced would be less if it notified affected users and country governments of those users as soon as the leak was known. It did not so they hold liability for any damage and another round of regulation and privacy laws with is well-needed will and should take place!
it would be cheaper to pay the fine.
I’m going to donate the $2.30 I get to charity. I wonder what others will do with their windfall

I've logged into multiple things in the past few days, including my PayPal account, and I've gotten the "my data has been compromised" warning.
I’ve reset my passwords on my iPhone idk how many times for all my accounts...finally just gave up.

I've given up changing my passwords.

Probably because you use the same or similar emails and passwords combination on various sites

yes. But I have purchased things through FB directly using my PayPal account. That concerned me the most but I didn't see anything suspicious there.

just do not open any PayPal emails or click any links. These scammers will try phishing your info with fake emails.

i worked with paypal and we got this complains like a lot...
Strategy here is if the email was too good to be true, dont open it...phishers were so smart they even make their email address look the same as the one from PayPal

Hope you notified your bank immediately and put them on notice. Facebook gave them my email addy and from there they got into my paypal account. Technology isn't always a good thing!
