The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $320 million loan to rehabilitate approximately 900 kilometers of rural roads in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rural Roads Development Project aims to enhance connectivity, safety, and climate resilience in flood-prone areas.
This project will improve access to education, healthcare, and markets while reducing travel time and transportation costs.
ADB will also support a comprehensive study on flood and landslide risks and prepare concessional contracts for tourism roads.
This initiative is part of ADB's ongoing commitment to Pakistan’s infrastructure development.
