Shahzaib Rind, the newly crowned World Karate Combat Light Heavyweight Champion, received a hero's welcome upon his return to Pakistan from Singapore late Saturday.
At Islamabad International Airport, he was greeted by Secretary of the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination Nadeem Irshad Kayani, Additional Secretary Zahoor Ahmed, Deputy Director General of the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Shahid Islam, officials from the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, former Deputy Mayor of Islamabad Zeeshan Ali Naqvi, and a large crowd of enthusiastic fans, all applauding and cheering for him.
